Loving Apture!

So I have to send out a small “wow” for a recent wordpress plug-in I’m using called Apture. Some of you know of it, some of you may not. For the “may not’s” I think this is something you should take a look at.

As a person that analyzes my blog as to what people are reading, what they click, what they seem to care about and where they exit, I find keeping people on my blog to be somewhat of a tricky task.

On Jennifer’s Review, I always point to relavent links to items I’m referencing and occasionally, I have fun with video. All these things are great – but the majority of these things lead people off my blog. Once that happens – unless they are regulars, they are lost forever. Even if you have your blog or website links set-up to open a new window – I rarely see people coming back from that outbound click.

Then there came apture. Please note that this is not a sponsored post – it’s my acutal thoughts on the subject. I’ve only used Apture for a few blog posts and already I’m seeing a difference. People are staying a little longer on my site. Not only that but with apture, it opens a small window to view a video I’ve chosen while still staying on my site … like this funny video!

Or maybe I want to reference a really cool digital art photo like this photo

I can point to a website, like promoting a facebook fanpage while still keeping you on the site!

Or maybe I want you to help you find a location I’m talking about. Like Madison, Wisconsin

Thinking you might want to monetize your blog a little more? Try putting in your affiliate links with apture. People can check out what you are referencing and if they decide not to purchase or go further – they are still on your site to continue browsing. I haven’t even touched the bulk of what this plug-in can do for you.
