Social Media – Are We Losing Real Life Interactions?

by Jennifer Stinnett on December 7, 2009

This video is from July 2009 Ted Conference. This is a very interesting video of Stefana Broadbent, a cognitive scientist, who has spent decades observing people as they use technology. What is the effect of IM, Facebook, Texting …. are we missing connecting on a intimate level? I think you’ll enjoy the next 10 min. while watching this.

This was interesting. As a generations specialist, I talk with the different generations a lot about the positives of social media. Social media has perpetuated the blurring of home from work environments. Stefana Broadbent has some good points in this video.
