Search and watch anything anywhere

Recently I had to do some research for a client’s email campaign and I came across the following Nielson Report on communication trends. With today’s technology, i.e. Blackberry’s, iPhones, smartphones … you name it, we can search for anything at any given moment. Recently I was in an unfamiliar city and needed to find the nearest local Walgreens. Guess what? … on came my internet browser on my phone and away I went to the nearest location. Of course it was the nearest location because my phone is GPS enabled. Interesting …..

Take a look at the Nielsen report if you haven’t already done so…. it’s more of a iPhone vs. Blackberry type of demographic, but clearly shows who the target market audience is. If you are not already using one of these devices in your real esate career or making your website mobile compatible … better get on it!

Don’t like to text? … guess what… more and more people are requesting agents who will text as a means of communicating with them. In my last case – the client worked for the city, which did not allow her to check her emails or take personal phone calls on the job – a text message announcing a showing for that evening was a wonderful way for the agent to communicate to her.

Don’t forget the increasing popularity of video games …. it’s another advertising phenom….

Here is a great blog from “Future of Real Estate Marketing” on the 5 applications every real estate agent should have (iphone).

Notable Mobile enabled sites:
Coldwell Banker iPhone app
Trulia.com
Zillow.com
Realestate.com

The world is changing, the economy is changing, the client base is changing …….. get onboard with video and mobile technology in your business!
